Dear Mr. Palmer:

RE: Bell Canada Tariff Notice 7002 and Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership Tariff Notice 57

The Commission received applications, dated 22 November 2006, by Bell Canada and Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership under cover of Tariff Notices 7002 and 57, respectively, in which the companies proposed the introduction of General Tariffs item 107, Business Order Cancellation (BOC). The companies noted that the BOC would apply to customers of certain business services that cancel a service order after the companies have undertaken activities and incurred costs associated with fulfilling the service order.

By letter dated 29 January 2007 to the Companies, Commission staff indicated that the Commission expected to render its decision on the companies' applications by the end of March 2007. However, in light of the complexity of the issues raised by the applications, particularly pertaining to Competitor Services, the Commission will be unable to dispose of the companies' applications by the end of March 2007.

The Commission expects to render its decision on the companies' applications by the end of June 2007.

Yours sincerely,
