Mr. Dave Palmer Dear Mr. Palmer: Re: Telecom Decision CRTC 2008-17, Revised regulatory framework for wholesale services and definition of essential service (Decision 2008-17) The Commission received a letter dated 17 September 2008 from Bell Canada on behalf of itself, Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership and Saskatchewan Telecommunications (collectively, the Companies) pursuant to section 50 of the Telecommunications Act. Specifically, the Companies requested that the timeframe specified at paragraph 135 of Telecom Decision 2008-17 to submit a revised cost study and proposed tariff pages for the ADSL access service, be extended by [g1] 30 days following the release of a Commission ruling regarding the Companies' 15 May 2008 Part VII application to review and vary the requirement to provide ADSL access service. The Commission has not received any comments regarding the above request. The Commission approves the Companies' [g1] request to file a revised cost study and proposed tariff pages for the ADSL access service, within 30 days of the Commission's decision on the above-noted review and vary application. Yours sincerely, Original signed by
