This is further to our letter dated 5 October 2012 regarding radio station CKQV-FM Vermilion Bay and its compliance with its condition of licence relating to the origination of the station’s programming.

Section 28(1)(a) of the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission Rules of Practice and Procedure provides that the Commission may request parties to file information, particulars or documents where needed.

Please provide the following information:

In CKQV-FM Vermilion Bay – Licence renewal, Broadcasting Decision 2011-530, 26 August 2011, condition of licence no.2 stipulates that:

“The licensee shall ensure that all programming broadcast on the rebroadcasting transmitters CKQV-FM-1 Dryden and CKQV-FM-2 Kenora is identical to the programming that originates from its Vermilion Bay studio and is broadcast on CKQV-FM Vermilion Bay.” (Bold added for emphasis)

In your reply letter dated 8 October 2012, you indicate that all programming broadcast on CKQV-FM Vermilion Bay and its transmitters is identical. With regard to the above-noted text in bold, please confirm that all originating programming is broadcast on your Vermilion Bay transmitter.

You are required to provide the information noted above on the public record by 12 December 2012.

A copy of this letter and all related correspondence will be added to the public record of the proceeding.
