Re: Complaint by Le groupe de radiodiffusion Astral inc. (Astral) against Vidéotron s.e.n.c. (Vidéotron) regarding the regional video-on-demand service Illico sur demande. Filed 27 February 2013 (Part 1 Application number 2013-0388-3)

The Commission has received the complaint noted above. In that complaint, Astral has asked that the Commission deal with the matter on an expedited basis, and has alleged that there could be a potential negative impact on Astral because of delays caused by the Commission’s normal deadlines set out in the CRTC Rules of Practice and Procedure (the Rules). In light of this request, and in order to deal with the matter in an expeditious basis, Commission staff consider it appropriate to vary the Rules in the present case.

Accordingly, the revised timetable for the process will be as follows:

Answer by Respondent (Vidéotron), and all Intervener Comments: 18 March 2013
Reply by Astral: 25 March 2013

A copy of this letter and all related correspondence will be added to the public record of the proceeding and published on the Commission’s website.

Sincerely,
