Re: Applications for mandatory distribution on cable and satellite distribution systems pursuant to section 9(1)(h) of the Broadcasting Act and applications for the licence renewal of independent conventional pay and specialty television services, Broadcasting Notice of Consultation CRTC 2013-19-4, 23 April 2013.
This will acknowledge receipt of final written submissions received on 9 May 2013 in the final reply phase of the above-noted proceeding.
As noted by the Hearing Secretary on 23 April 2013 (paragraphs 86-88 of the transcript of the hearing and in Broadcasting Notice of Consultation 2013-19-4), the Commission indicated that it would accept final written submissions filed by parties that appeared at the hearing. Parties were also reminded that final written submissions were only to address any new information submitted in regard to responses to undertakings filed by parties, and not to introduce new evidence.
Accordingly, please note that final written submissions received from parties that appeared at the hearing have been placed on the public record of this proceeding, including on the Commission’s website record. However, as noted above, only representations in reply to Undertakings will be considered by the Commission in its deliberations. Representations not addressing replies to Undertakings will not being considered.
This letter is also being added to the public record of this proceeding and being posted on the Commission website record of the proceeding.
