Renaming of Stingray Brava as Stingray Classica on the List of non-Canadian programming services and stations authorized for distribution

  1. In Addition of Stingray Brava to the List of non-Canadian programming services and stations authorized for distribution, Broadcasting Decision 2017-16, 19 January 2017, the Commission approved the addition of Stingray Brava to the List of non-Canadian programming services and stations authorized for distribution (the list). Stingray Brava is a non-Canadian 24-hour niche service (95% English-language, 5% Italian-language) featuring programming devoted to cultural performance arts, including opera, ballet and classical music.
  2. In a letter to the Commission dated 20 April 2017, Stingray Digital Group Inc. on behalf of Stingray Europe BV indicated that, effective immediately, the service would change its name to Stingray Classica and confirmed that the nature of the service would remain unchanged. Accordingly, the Commission amends the list to reflect this name change. The revised list can be found on the Commission’s website at www.crtc.gc.ca and may be obtained in hard copy upon request.
