New Applications and BITS Reference documents

New Applications

The Commission does not publish the status of new BITS Licence applications. The process requires that the applicant fulfill a number of requirements after an initial application is received.

Once most of the requirements have been met, BITS licence applications are placed on the public record in its examination rooms. Applicants can expect that a licence will be issued within 21 days, provided the application is satisfactory and no adverse comments are received.

Therefore, any application listed under the Received Application report for BITS does not imply that a Licence will be issued to the applicant, but only reflects the status of a submission. The Commission only lists the applicants whose applications are successful.
