Please note that the Official Languages Act requires that government publications be available in both official languages.

In order to meet some of the requirements under this Act, the Commission's transcripts will therefore be bilingual as to their covers, the listing of CRTC members and staff attending the hearings, and the table of contents.

However, the aforementioned publication is the recorded verbatim transcript and, as such, is transcribed in either of the official languages, depending on the language spoken by the participant at the hearing.

--- Opening of Hearing at 11:00 a.m.

CHAIRMAN: Order please, à l'ordre s'il vous plaît.

Good morning ladies and gentlemen and welcome to this hearing of the Commission. My name is Stephen Simpson, Commissioner for the province of British Columbia and Yukon, and I will chair this meeting. With me on the panel are my colleagues, Elizabeth Duncan, regional Commissioner for the Atlantic Region and Nunavut and Suzanne Lamarre, regional Commissioner for the Quebec Region. Jade Roy will be the Secretary of this hearing and Kelly-Anne Smith will be our Legal Counsel. Madam Secretary, what are the items on the agenda for today?

SECRETARY: Thank you Mr. Chairman

On 20 May 2010, the Commission published Broadcasting Notice of Consultation CRTC 2010-295. The Commission also published 2010-295-1 and 2010-295-2. The applications referenced in these notices are being considered today without the appearance of the parties.

The Commission has received interventions for some of the applications and they have been placed on the public file for this hearing.

Thank you Mr. Chairman

Chairman: Any questions from the panel members?

Elisabeth Duncan: No questions Mr. Chairman

Suzanne Lamarre: No questions Mr. Chairman

Chairman: Thank you Madam Secretary. I should emphasize that the matters that form part of the agenda will be given full consideration by the hearing panel and decisions will be released in due course after consultation with the full Commission. This therefore concludes today's hearing. I wish to thank my colleagues, Legal Counsel and the Hearing Secretary for their assistance. The hearing is now adjourned.

SECRETARY: Thank you Mr. Chairman.

--- The hearing adjourned at 11:15 a.m.
