RE: Request for CO Code in area code 902
Dear Sir,
Area code 902 is currently in a jeopardy condition, and as a result Comwave Networks (Comwave), on 12 May 2014, requested that Commission approve the assignment of CO code 902-797 for expansion into Halifax, Nova Scotia.
In its request, Comwave noted that its expansion into Halifax is planned for August 2014, and assignment of this CO code is required now so that testing of its network interconnection and call routing arrangements can proceed as planned.
Commission staff notes that this CO code will be assigned from the pool of CO code set aside for new entrants in Telecom Notice of Consultation 2012-309 and considers the company's proposal to be reasonable.
