RE: Request for CO Code in area code 902
Dear Sir,
Area code 902 is currently in a jeopardy condition, pending the introduction of the new overlay area code 782 on 30 November 2014. For this reason, ISP Telecom inc., on 30July 2014, requested that Commission staff approve the assignment of a new central office (CO) code in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
In its request, ISP Telecom inc. noted that it was opening a rate center and that the new CO code would be in service within 4 months of the date of application.
Commission staff considers the company’s proposal to be reasonable.
