RE: Request for extension to central office codes in-service dates

Dear Sir:

On 15 July 2016, TekSavvy Solutions Inc. (TekSavvy) requested approval for an extension to the in-service dates for its central office (CO) codes in Ontario and Quebec.

TekSavvy noted that it experienced delays in finalizing its Access Service Tariff, completing certain Master Agreements for Local Interconnection (MALIs), and meeting other obligations it must fulfill in order to operate as a competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC).

It indicated that additional delays with respect to entering into additional MALIs with Bell Canada, as well as the amount of work to be completed to transition from a reseller to a CLEC, will not allow it to meet the previously scheduled 1 August 2016 deadline. It therefore requested a 90-day extension to its forecasted in-service dates.

Commission staff considers that TekSavvy’s request to extend, by 90 days, its CO codes in-service dates is reasonable.

Sincerely,
