Decision

Ottawa, 14 January 1986
Decision CRTC 86-12
Canadian Broadcasting Corporation Lac-Mégantic, Quebec - 851619700
Pursuant to Public Notice CRTC 1985-259 dated 29 November 1985, the Commission approves the application to amend the broadcasting licence for CBF-6-FM Lac-Mégantic by changing the frequency from 93.7 MHz (channel 229B) to 91.3 MHz (channel 217A) and by decreasing the effective radiated power from 4,400 watts to 591 watts.
This change of channel is required as the result of revisions to the Department of Communications' FM Allotment Plan and to the CBC Long Range Radio Plan as stipulated in Public Notice CRTC 1985-86 dated 2 May 1985.
The CBC has indicated that the majority of listeners affected by the decrease in power are already served by CBC rebroadcasters located at Sherbrooke, Asbestos/Danville, Victoriaville, Thetford Mines and Saint-Georges-de-Beauce.
