Public Notice

Ottawa, 11 August 1986
Public Notice CRTC 1986-202
QUEBEC REGION
MONTREAL, Quebec
In decision CRTC 85-609, the Commission invited the Societé de radio-télévision du Québec (Radio-Québec) to submit the standards and criteria it intended to follow regarding the sale of air-time. On 28 October 1985, Radio-Québec submitted its Advertising Code, which was placed on the public file. On 24 March 1986, Radio-Québec submitted a revised version of its Advertising Code with the following two amendments:
-  restrictions on the retail price of products or services are abrogated; and
-  advertising of beer, wine and cider products is now being accepted.
Before rendering a decision on these amendments, the Commission invites all interested parties to submit their written comments to the Secretary General, CRTC, Ottawa, Ontario, K1A 0N2, no later than 10 September 1986. Meanwhile, the Commission expects the licensee to maintain its advertising policy in accordance with the standards and criteria contained in its advertising code dated 28 October 1985.
The Advertising Code referred to above may be examined at the Commission's Hull and Montreal offices.
Fernand Bélisle Secretary General
