Decision

Ottawa, 26 April 1991
Decision CRTC 91-254
La Belle Vision Inc.
Louiseville, Saint-Tite, Charette, Saint-Pierre-les-Becquets, Deschaillons-sur-Saint-Laurent, Saint-Stanislas, Saint-Narcisse, Saint-Alexis-des-Monts, Hérouxville, Saint-Thimotée, Pierreville, Saint-Barthélémy, Saint-Cuthbert and surrounding areas, Quebec - 902291400
Following a Public Hearing in Québec beginning on 5 March 1991, the Commission renews the licence for the broadcasting receiving undertaking serving the communities noted above, held by La Belle Vision Inc., from 1 October 1991 to 31 August 1996. The operation of this undertaking is regulated pursuant to Parts I and III of the Cable Television Regulations, 1986 (the regulations) and the licence will be subject to the conditions specified in this decision and in the licence to be issued.
In addition to the services required or authorized to be distributed pursuant to the applicable sections of the regulations, the licensee is authorized to continue to distribute WCAX-TV (CBS) and WVNY (ABC) Burlington, Vermont, as well as WCFE-TV (PBS) and WPTZ (NBC) Plattsburgh, New York, received via microwave, as part of the basic service. Consistent with Decision CRTC 89-695 dated 14 September 1989, it is a condition of licence that the licensee be relieved of the requirement of section 23 of the regulations, that it distribute at least four television programming services delivered to its local head end by a network operator licensed to extend television and radio services to remote and underserved communities, at least one of which must be a Canadian television programming service.
