Decision

Ottawa, 11 March 1992
Decision CRTC 92-146
Garfield Young
Grey River, Newfoundland - 911482800 - 911780500
Pursuant to Public Notice CRTC 1991-100 dated 4 October 1991, the Commission renews the licence held by Garfield Young, for the cable distribution undertaking serving Grey River, from 1 September 1992 to 31 August 1996.
This term will enable the Commission to consider the renewal of this licence at the same time as that of other undertakings in the area.
The operation of this undertaking is regulated pursuant to Parts I and III of the Cable Television Regulations, 1986 (the regulations) and the licence will be subject to the conditions specified in this decision and in the licence to be issued.
The Commission approves, by condition of licence, the application to be relieved from the requirement of paragraph 22(1)(b) of the regulations to distribute CBNT-24 Hermitage, a priority signal, as part of the basic service. In approving this request, the Commission has taken into consideration thefact that the Department of Communications has confirmed the inadequate reception quality of CBNT-24 at Grey River.
