APPLICATIONS FOR AMENDMENTS CONCERNING (COMMERCIAL FM) RADIO PROGRAMMING UNDERTAKINGS

CRTC Public Notice 1993-38, Policies for Local Programming on Commercial Radio Stations and Advertising on Campus Stations, dated 19 April 1993, announced the elimination of the policy provisions respecting the minimum levels of news and spoken word programming and maximum amounts of advertising on commercial FM stations, stating that such stations could apply to delete these commitments from their Promises of Performance.

Pursuant to that Notice, the following applications have been received to amend the Promises of Performance by deleting the requirements respecting the minimum levels of news and spoken word, and the maximum amount of advertising, to be broadcast, which are conditions of licences.

- your intervention should clearly identify the application and indicate whether you support or oppose the application, or if you propose changes to it, with facts and grounds therefor. In the event that the application is brought to the oral phase of a hearing it would be helpful to the Commission if you would provide reasons why your written comments are not sufficient and an appearance is necessary;

- a true copy MUST be sent to the applicant and a proof of such sending must accompany the original sent to the Commission;
|
|
- the intervention must be received by the CRTC and by the applicant ON OR BEFORE the deadline date indicated below. The Commission cannot be held responsible for postal delays;
