Public Notice

Ottawa, 24 May 1996
Public Notice CRTC 1996-59-1
POLICY REGARDING THE USE OF EXEMPTION ORDERS
CORRECTION
In the third sentence of the second paragraph at page 13 of Public Notice CRTC 1996-59 dated 26 April 1996, the Commission inadvertently named the Province of Saskatchewan as one of the parties whose position, at the 19 February 1996 public hearing held prior to publication of the Commission's policy, was that broadcasting distribution undertakings should be regulated under the Telecommunications Act, rather than the Broadcasting Act.
The Commission hereby corrects Public Notice CRTC 1996-59 by amending the sentence to read as follows:
The position taken by Telus Corporation and Thomson Newspapers Company Limited is that broadcasting distribution undertakings should be regulated under the Telecommunications Act, rather than the Broadcasting Act.

Allan J. Darling
Secretary General
