Application (199603668) by REGIONAL CABLE TV (CENTRAL) INC., 1730 Marie-Victorin, Suite 201, Longueuil, Quebec, J4G 1A5, to amend the terms of the exemption to section 23 of the Cable Television Regulations, 1986 which was granted to the (cable) distribution undertaking serving Saint-Joachim-de-Montmorency, in Decision CRTC 93-451 dated 20 August 1993. The licensee proposes to add the programming services of WHUF-TV (FOX) Rochester, New York, CNN Headline News (CCN-2) and Arts & Entertainment (A&E), on the basic service of this undertaking.
The licensee also intends to amend the broadcasting licence of the (cable) distribution undertaking serving Sainte-Pétronille, as follows:
-  by deleting the local head end;
-  by adding a distant head end at Saint-Joachim-de-Montmorency to interconnect the Sainte-Pétronille undertaking to the local head end of the licensee's cable undertaking serving Saint-Joachim-de-Montmorency; and
-  by distributing, on the basic service, the community channel of Beaupré and Télémag 24, received via microwave from Saint-Joachim-de-Montmorency.

-  by deleting the local head end;
-  by adding a distant head end at L'Annonciation to interconnect the Sainte-Véronique undertaking to the local head end of the licensee's cable undertaking serving L'Annonciation;
-  by deleting the condition of licence, relieving the licensee from the requirement that it distribute the priority signal of CBFT-1 (SRC) Mont-Tremblant, Quebec, pursuant to section 22 of the Cable Television Regulations; 1986. Following the interconnection, the applicant will again be able to distribute the signal of CBFT-1 (SRC) Mont-Tremblay, received via microwave from L'Annonciation; and
-  by deleting the condition of licence, relieving the licensee from the requirement that it distribute at least four television programming services delivered to its local head end by a network operator licensed to extend television and radio services to remote and underserved communities, at least one of which must be a Canadian television programming service, pursuant to section 23 of the Cable Television Regulations, 1986. Following the interconnection, the applicant intends to comply with this section of the Regulations.

Application (199606828) by VIDÉOTRON LTÉE to amend the broadcasting licence of the (cable) distribution undertaking serving Victoriaville, by adding a condition of licence relieving the licensee from the requirement to distribute the signal of CKTM-TV (SRC) Trois-Rivières, Quebec, a local signal, pursuant to paragraph 9(1)(c) of the Cable Television Regulations, 1986. The licensee intends to continue the distribution of CKSH-TV (SRC) Sherbrooke, Quebec, also a local signal.
