The Commission approves Bell's request to eliminate the $0.25 charge for those instances where the customer would otherwise be paying a compensation per-call charge for calls that are swiped at the payphone.
This application dated 17 January 2000 was filed on behalf of and with the concurrence of Bell Canada, Island Telecom Inc., MTS Communications Inc., Maritime Tel & Tel Limited, NBTel Inc., NewTel Communications Inc., TELUS Communications (B.C.) Inc. and TELUS Communications Inc.
The revisions to National Services Tariff Item 790 will take effect on 17 February 2000.
