Order CRTC 2000-466

Ottawa, 26 May 2000
TELUS Communications (B.C.) Inc.
Tariff Notices 4063 and 4064
Promotions

The Commission denies TCBC's requests to introduce a Local Business Contract Option Winback Promotion and a Business Winback Service Charge Waiver Promotion.
The Commission considers that, in developing these two promotions, TCBC targeted essentially the same customers that were targeted in the recently expired Winback Service Charge Waiver Promotion under General Tariff Item 32 C which commenced on 5 February 1999 and expired on 4 February 2000. The Commission finds that the proposals are not substantially different from the recently expired Winback Service Charge Waiver Promotion.

In view of the above, the Commission considers that it would not be appropriate to approve the proposed promotions without the support of an imputation test.

TCBC filed these applications on 7 April 2000 to revise Item 32 of its General Tariff.
