Directory information service
The Commission approves on an interim basis Bell Canada's revised copy of the Agreement for the Provision of Operator Services, and its request to introduce the Short Message Service Directory Assistance feature.
This feature will allow end-customers of wireless service providers, served by digital wireless technology, to view a requested directory number on their digital handsets, in addition to being provided by the operator or automated voice equipment.
Bell Canada filed the application on 12 September 2000 to revise Item 87 of its General Tariff.
The revisions take effect on 12 October 2000.
