The licensee proposes to amend the definition of "broadcast day" to mean a period of 24 consecutive hours, beginning each day not earlier than 4 a.m. rather than a maximum period of 18 consecutive hours, beginning each day not earlier than 6 a.m. and ending no later than 1 a.m. the next day. |
||
|
As part of its application, the licensee also requested that category 10 (Game shows) programs be added to the program categories Canal Z is authorized to distribute. |
||
|
Astral Broadcasting Group Inc. indicated that standardization of the definition of "broadcast day" would be desirable to improve and facilitate management of services. |
||
|
With respect to the addition of program category 10 (Game shows), the applicant indicated that the amendment was necessary due to the removal of this component that formerly previously was part of program category 5b) "Informal Education/Recreation & Leisure" (Public Notice CRTC 1999-205). |
