Deadline to commence operations

1.

The Commission approves the application by Radio du Golfe inc. for an extension of the time limit to commence the operation of the new transmitter of CJMC-FM Sainte-Anne-des-Monts at La Martre, authorized in Licence amendment for CJMC-FM Sainte-Anne-des-Monts, Decision CRTC 2001-28, 25 January 2001.

2.

The Commission did not receive any interventions in connection with this application.

3.

The Commission notes that this is the licensee's fourth request for an extension to implement its authority.

4.

For administrative purposes, the Commission considers it appropriate to grant an extension of 12 months rather than the three months requested by the licensee. However, within four months of the date of this decision, the Commission requires the licensee to submit a progress report updating the situation and the actions it has taken to commence the operation of the new transmitter as quickly as possible.

5.

The transmitter must be operational at the earliest possible date and in any event no later than 25 July 2004, unless a request for an extension of time is approved by the Commission before this date. In order to ensure that such a request is processed in a timely manner, it should be submitted in writing at least 60 days before this date.
