CHLM-FM Rouyn-Noranda and CBF Montréal – Licence amendments

1.      The Commission approves an application by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation to amend the broadcasting licences of the French-language radio programming undertakings CHLM-FM Rouyn-Noranda and CBF Montréal. The licensee proposes to add transmitters CBF-1 Senneterre, CBF-3 Lebel-sur-Quévillon and CBF-4 Matagami to CHLM-FM’s licence in order to rebroadcast its programming, and to remove these transmitters from CBF’s licence. All technical parameters remain unchanged. Only the source of programming will be amended.

2.      The licensee indicated that these amendments will allow it to better serve the population living in these three transmitters authorised contours by giving them access to CHLM-FM’s local and regional programming.

3.      The Commission notes that approval of these applications will have no technical impact since all of the transmitters’ technical parameters will remain the same, the transmitters will not be moved, and no change to their authorised contours are planned.
