ABC Spark – Revocation of licence

3924181 Canada Inc., a subsidiary of Corus Entertainment Inc., has requested the revocation of its broadcasting licence for the English-language discretionary children’s programming undertaking ABC Spark, last renewed in Various television programming services and networks, and broadcasting distribution undertakings – Administrative renewals, Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2023-245, 8 August 2023.
Given the licensee’s request and pursuant to paragraph 9(1)(f) and subsection 24(1) of the Broadcasting Act, the Commission revokes the broadcasting licence issued to 3924181 Canada Inc. for the above-mentioned undertaking.
The Commission reminds the licensee that any outstanding regulatory obligations associated with ABC Spark remain attributable to the Corus Group and are to be accounted for within its group of licensed undertakings, as appropriate.
