Subject: Extension request to file consultation report and operational plan pursuant to Broadcasting Regulatory Policy 2024-121

In response to your correspondence of January 27, 2025, the Commission approves the request for a six-month extension to the deadline to submit the consultation report and operational plan (the Report) referred to in Broadcasting Regulatory Policy 2024-121, for an Indigenous Music Fund.
Under the regulatory policy, these documents were originally required to be filed with the Commission by 4 June 2025. However, in light of the stay granted by the Federal Court of Appeal, which results in a pause to the contributions to be made to various funds, including the Indigenous Music Fund, the Commission finds it appropriate to extend the deadline for the submission of the Report. Therefore, the Commission sets the new deadline for your submission of the Report to no later than 6 December 2025.
