Subject: Part 1 - Application by Iristel Inc. for interim and final relief in response to a disconnection notice

Dear Kate Southwell and Samer Bishay,

This letter sets out expedited timelines for Iristel Inc.’s (Iristel) Part 1 application for expedited interim and final relief in a response to a notice of disconnection issued by Bell Canada (Bell).

In its application, Iristel sought the following interim relief:

  1. A direction to Bell to withdraw the disconnection notice issued to Iristel on 21 February 2025 in which Bell stated that it will disconnect telecommunications services it supplies to Iristel.
  2. A direction to Bell not to issue a new disconnection notice until the Commission rules on the final relief requested by Iristel.
  3. A direction to Bell that requires it to accept the payment plan proposed by Iristel.

In order to allow the Commission to assess all of the interim relief requested by Iristel in a timely manner and before disconnection could occur, Bell is requested to file its comments on the interim relief requested by Iristel by 11 March 2025 serving a copy on Iristel. Reply comments from Iristel may be filed by no later than 13 March 2025, serving a copy on Bell. Documents are to be received, and not merely sent, by these dates.

The deadlines for parties to file submissions on the other issues raised in Iristel’s application remain unchanged.
