Dear Philippe Gauvin:
We are following up on your request, dated 12 May 2025, for an extension to file an answer with respect to the Deaf Wireless Canada Consultative Committee’s (DWCC) costs applications for the three above mentioned Notice of ConsultationFootnote 1.
In your letter, you indicated that Bell Canada was not served copies of the DWCC costs applications and therefore, did not have the opportunity to properly review and file an answer within 10 days of the day DWCC filed its costs applications as per the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission Rules of Practice and Procedure (the Rules of Procedure)Footnote 2.
Having considered your request, Commission staff has determined that such an extension would allow Bell Canada to review DWCC costs applications and provide an opportunity to file an answer, as per the Rules of Procedure. Commission staff also determined that such an extension should be extended to all potential costs respondents that have participated in the three above-mentioned consultations.
Based on the above, Commission staff amends the process as follows:
- Bell Canada and all other costs respondents may file answers to DWCC costs applications by no later than 22 May 2025.
- DWCC may file a reply to any answers received by 1 June 2025.
If you have any questions regarding this issue, please do not hesitate to contact me at bianka.lauzon@crtc.gc.ca or at 873-353-4840.
Yours sincerely,
