Subject: Northwestel Inc. Tariff Notice 1247 – Revise Special Services Tariff CRTC 3010 Item 702 – Site Space, Power and Tower Attachments – Requests for Information
On 15 April 2025, the Commission received an application from Northwestel Inc. (Northwestel) proposing updated tariff pages for Northwestel’s Special Services Tariff (SST) CRTC 3010 Item 702 – Site Space, Power and Tower Attachment Rates.
Commission staff notes that the analysis is ongoing but additional information is required.
In that respect, the process and associated dates are as follows:
- Commission staff requests that Northwestel submit its respective responses to the attached supplemental requests for information (RFIs) no later than 27 June 2025.
- Parties can submit comments with respect to the response(s) to the attached RFIs, by 7 July 2025.
- Northwestel may file replies to the above noted comments by 14 July 2025.
All documents filed and served must be received, not merely sent, by the date provided. Parties are to send an electronic copy of all documents to Commission staff copied on this letter. The Commission requires the responses or other documents to be submitted electronically by using the secured service “My CRTC Account” (Partner Log In or GCKey) and filling in the “Telecom Cover Page” located on the Commission’s website.
As set out in section 39 of the Telecommunications Act and in Procedures for filing confidential information and requesting its disclosure in Commission proceedings, Broadcasting and Telecom Information Bulletin CRTC 2010-961, 23 December 2010, persons may designate certain information as confidential. A person designating information as confidential must provide a detailed explanation on why the designated information is confidential and why its disclosure would not be in the public interest, including why the specific direct harm that would be likely to result from the disclosure would outweigh the public interest in disclosure. Furthermore, a person designating information as confidential must either file an abridged version of the document omitting only the information designated as confidential or provide reasons why an abridged version cannot be filed.

Request for Information Questions
- Provide the name of each customer, including the number and type of attachments for each, subject to the tariffed rates on the Special Services Tariff (SST) CRTC 3010, Item 702 tariff page on 31 March 2025.
- According to the proposed revised definitions on the Northwestel Inc. SST CRTC 3010, Item 702 proposed tariff page, submitted to the Commission on 15 April 2025, an existing antenna and/or attachment may change from one type to another. Does Northwestel intend to revise the rate charged, by applying the proposed revised definitions, to existing antennae and/or attachments that are currently installed?
