Subject: Application 2025-0157-7 – CHAM-Hamilton, Ontario – Technical amendment to a broadcasting licence – Processing of new documents
The Commission has received new documents for the above-noted application from Big AM 820 Inc. (CINA Radio Group) to change the authorized contours of CHAM Hamilton.
The documents are related to application 2025-0156-9 (CINA, Mississauga) and to application 2025-0157-7 (CHAM, Hamilton). These applications concern the exchange of frequencies between the two stations and their operation at different transmitter locations.
Specifically, the new documents propose and seek approval for an alternate transmitter location and power for CHAM, Hamilton, compared to what was originally proposed in application 2025-0157-7. It also includes a request for approval of an alternate frequency for CHAM, Hamilton.
Considering this new information, which would change the relief requested by the applicant in 2025-0157-7, the Commission intends to reopen the application 2025-0157-7. For clarity, the following procedure applies to the process of the application:
- Answers by respondents and interventions are due 15 days following the date of publication of the new application.
- The applicant’s reply is due 5 days following the answer and intervention period.
