Subject: Reminder to update the Competitive Local Exchange Carrier Tariffs
To all:
In Telecom Order 2025-234,Footnote1 the Commission approved updates to the competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC) model tariffs and CLEC User’s Guide contained in the CRTC Interconnection Steering Committee Business Process Working Group Task Identification Form report BPRE103c. In that order, the Commission indicated that, among other things, changes have been made to the CRTC’s Type I/II CLEC Model Tariff (version 37.2), Type III/IV CLEC Model Tariff (version 3.2), and the CLEC User’s Guide (version 7.2). Changes included updates for improved clarity and consistency, including changes to rate tables; updates to the User’s Guide to reflect current industry practices; changes to the Type I tariff to include Type II CLECs; and updates to the names of local exchange carriers.
Recognizing that some CLECs have already filed their updated CLEC tariffs or are in the process of working on it, Commission staff reminds CLECs that, in accordance with Telecom Order 2025-234, they are required to file updated versions of their CLEC tariffs with the Commission. Updates to a CLEC tariff that the Commission has previously approved can be filed as a Group A application, which, under Telecom Information Bulletin 2010-455-1,Footnote2 does not require Commission approval unless it is inconsistent with the CLEC model tariffs. Any tariff filings from new CLECs or deviations from the CLEC model tariffs must be filed as Group B applications with the Commission for approval.
