Subject: Québecor Média inc., on behalf of its affiliate Videotron, Tariff Notice 67 - Extension Request to Deadline to Respond to Comments
On 9 April 2026, Québecor Média inc., on behalf of its affiliate Vidéotron (Vidéotron), filed Tariff Notice (TN) 67 regarding the introduction of a new access speed for its third-party Internet access (TPIA) services. The Commission received intervention comments from TekSavvy Solutions Inc. (TekSavvy) on 11 May 2026.
On 14 May 2026, Vidéotron requested an extension to the deadline for filing its response to these comments to 28 May 2026. Vidéotron stated that the preparation of an adequate response to comments regarding the supporting cost study requires the participation of a specialized resource who is currently on leave and will not be available until 19 May 2026. Vidéotron submitted that this five (5) business day extension is necessary to ensure the submission of a comprehensive and well-supported response.
Commission staff acknowledges that responding to technical cost study comments requires specialized expertise. Commission staff notes that a complete record is necessary for an efficient analysis, which helps in the finalization of the matter on a timely basis.
Commission staff therefore approves Vidéotron’s request to extend the due date for its response to 28 May 2026.
Sincerely,
