Subject: Bell Canada Extensions Requests: 30 May 2026 Incident Affecting Certain 9-1-1 Lines - Post-Outage Report and Service Outage on 28 April 2026 in Manitoba - Request for Information
Dear Philippe Gauvin,
Commission staff acknowledges receipt of the two letters filed by Bell Canada (Bell) dated 29 June 2026 requesting an extension to the deadline for submission of the following information:
- Post outage report: 30 May 2026 Incident Affecting Certain 9-1-1 Lines
- Request for Information (RFI) - Bell Canada Service outage on 28 April 2026 in Manitoba
In its letters, Bell indicated that it requires additional time to address the report and the RFI in light of critical staff being unavailable during the holiday period and that an extension to 10 July would allow it to properly develop the relevant submissions.
Commission staff has reviewed Bell’s requests and considers them appropriate in the circumstances. Accordingly, Bell is to file the above-referenced post outage report and responses to the RFI by no later than 10 July 2026.
Sincerely,
