Statistics and coverage from the CRTC Facilities Survey for year-end 2022 has been released under the Mobile Wireless and High-speed broadband sections.

Statistics from the joint CRTC-Statistics Canada Quarterly Survey for the periods up to Q2 2023 have been released.
- Note that the 2023 Q1 and Q2 Internet subscriptions increase is attributed to the inclusion of more entities in the Quarterly survey.

Statistics and coverage from the CRTC Facilities Survey for year-end 2020 has been released under the Mobile Wireless and High-Speed Broadband sections.
Quarterly ARPU statistics have been added to the Mobile Wireless and High-Speed Broadband sections.
Open Data workbooks:
- Current Trends Open Data workbook: version 4.0 now includes quarterly high-speed Internet and mobile ARPU calculations.
- Data – Monthly prices at year-end workbook: this workbook has been reformatted and includes data up to December 2021.
- Data – LTE and broadband availability workbook: this workbook has been renamed to Data – Mobile and broadband availability; it has also been reformatted and includes data up to December 2020.
- Data – Comms overview: this workbook has been updated to include annual telecommunications survey data up to year-end 2020.

Q4 2021 release.
Current Trends Open Data workbook: version 3.0.
- A change was made to how mobile revenue breakdowns are being reported. Previously, Mobile Services and Mobile Phones were reported along individual revenue metrics. Going forward, these will be reported under the Revenue metric and a Subcategory column has been added to capture Mobile Services as: “mobile voice, including roaming”, “long distance, including roaming”, “data, including roaming”, and “other mobile services”; and to capture Mobile Phones as: “voice only including SMS/MMS”, “voice and data”, and “data only”.

A correction was made to the “Mobile Wireless Data Traffic” dashboard in the Mobile Wireless section. Previously, mobile phone data and total wireless data traffic was being summed (mobile phone data is a subset of wireless data). Going forward, only wireless data traffic will be used and data traffic per month is calculated by data subscribers, not just any subscriber.

Q3 2021 release.
Added a version number to the Current Trends (Tendances actuelles) Open Data workbook: version 2.0.

A correction was made to the “Average Internet Data Downloaded/Uploaded per month, per subscription” dashboard in the High-speed broadband section. Originally, the download and upload data points were combined into a single, averaged traffic measure. Upon review, these two metrics have been split out.
