Audio funds to support Canadian content
The CRTC requires some broadcasting services such as commercial radio stations and online streaming services to make financial contributions to Canada’s broadcasting system. These contributions are distributed through various funds that support both Anglophone, Francophone and Indigenous emerging and developing artists as well as funds for news and local journalism. These funds assist in creating a diverse and thriving broadcasting system.
