Telecommunications Fees

The Telecommunications Fees Regulations, 2010 (the Fees Regulations)^{Footnote 1} provide for the payment of annual telecommunications fees by certain telecommunications service providers, as set out in sections 2 and 3 of the Fees Regulations.
Pursuant to subsection 3(4) of the Fees Regulations, the Commission hereby announces that the estimated total telecommunications regulatory costs of the Commission for the 2026–2027 fiscal year (1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027) are $60.480 million. This represents an increase of 2.8%^{Footnote 2} compared to the amount for the 2025–2026 fiscal year ($58.842 million).
The annual adjustment amount referred to in subsection 3(5) of the Fees Regulations for the 2025–2026 fiscal year is $0.496 million.
Taking into account the annual adjustment above, the net billing for the Commission’s telecommunications fees for the 2026–2027 fiscal year is $60.976 million. This represents a decrease of 0.1% compared to the amount for the 2025–2026 fiscal year ($61.045 million).
