Annual Return for Radio Program Undertakings

This survey is to be completed by all Radio Undertakings in Canada.
Undertakings are being asked to submit their data on-line using the Commission’s web-based Data Collection System (DCS) for the period ended 31 August.
Authority
The Radio information filed using DCS is submitted under the authority of both the Broadcasting Information Regulations, 1993 and the Statistics Act. Full details of these administrative changes can be found in Broadcasting Circular CRTC 2007-7.

These forms are for information purposes only; Available on Open Data and are not to be filed or sent back to the CRTC. The forms should be filed via DCS during the survey period, no later than the due date of 30 November.
Significant changes
- Data Collection - FAQ - Broadcasting Annual Return, Radio | CRTC
- Form 1121 has been amended to include a new reporting line titled:
“Average number of hours of news broadcast during a broadcast week.” - Form 1110 has been amended to include a new reporting line titled:
“Amount received from the Commercial Radio News Fund (CRNF)” - Form 1130 has been updated to include explanatory notes referencing the definitions of “news” and “local news”, to ensure consistency in interpretation and reporting.
- Form 1135 has been revised to:
- Include explanatory notes referencing the definitions of “news”, and
- Add new reporting fields pertaining to:
- Remuneration, and
- Official Language Minority Communities (OLMCs), specifically:
- Amount included in total programming and production expenses allocated to the creation of content serving the Anglophone Official Language Minority Community in Quebec; and
- Amount included in total programming and production expenses allocated to the creation of content serving the Francophone Official Language Minority Community outside Quebec.
