EXTENSION OF DEADLINE FOR FILING
COMMENTS ON DISTANT CANADIAN SIGNALS CABLE CARRIAGE
In Public Notice CRTC 1984-13 dated 16 January 1984, the Commission requested that comments on the subject of the potential increased distribution of distant Canadian signals on cable television systems be submitted by 1 March 1984. As a result of requests received, the Commission here by extends the deadline date for the filing of these comments from 1 March to 1 May 1984. Those who have already responded may at their discretion submit additional information.
The Commission also wishes to advise that it intends to issue a further public notice concerning the use of off-air broadcasting transmitters to extend the coverage area of Canadian broadcast signals. That notice will identify the issues which the Commission considers should be addressed related to current licensing practices and policies.
Comments should be addressed to Mr. J.G. Patenaude, Secretary General, CRTC, Ottawa, K1A 0N2, and should be received not later than 1 May 1984.
