Decision

Ottawa, 17 July 1986
Decision CRTC 86-678
Global Communications Limited
Stevenson, Ontario - 860432400
Pursuant to Public Notice CRTC 1986-122 dated 22 May 1986, the Commission approves the application to amend the broadcasting licence for CIII-TV-1 Stevenson (Cottam) by decreasing the effective radiated power from 218,000 watts to 152,000 watts and by relocating the transmitter from its currently authorized site at Cottam to Stevenson.
The Commission notes that approval of this application will allow the licensee to reinstate the service that was provided to the Windsor area by its station at Cottam, Ontario which has not been in service for a number of years.
In accordance with paragraph 22(1)(b) of the Broadcasting Act, the Commission will only issue the licence amendment, and the authority granted herein may only be implemented, at such time as written notification is received from the Department of Communications that it will issue an amendment to the Technical Construction and Operating Certificate.
