Ottawa, 20 January 1987
Decision CRTC 87-39
Ontario Educational Communications Authority (TVOntario)
Armstrong, Ontario - 861064400
Following a Public Hearing in Hull, Quebec on 1 December 1986, the Commission approves the application for a broadcasting licence for an English-language television station at Armstrong, on channel 13 with a transmitter power of 10 watts to rebroadcast the TVOntario programs originating from CICA-TV Toronto.
The Commission will issue a licence expiring 30 September 1991, subject to the conditions specified in this decision and in the licence to be issued.
This application forms part of a long-term project to extend the TV-Ontario service throughout northern Ontario via satellite.
It is a condition of licence that construction of the station be completed and that it be in operation within twelve months of the date of this decision or such further period as the Commission may, upon receipt of a request for extension before the expiry of the said twelve months, deem appropriate under the circumstances.
