Decision

Ottawa, 30 June 1987
Decision CRTC 87-533
Radiomutuel (1985) Limited
Trois-Rivières, Quebec - 863338000
Pursuant to Public Notice CRTC 1987-115 dated 24 April 1987, the Commission approves the application to amend the broadcasting licence for CJTR Trois-Rivières by increasing the day-time transmitter power from 10,000 watts to 50,000 watts.
In accordance with paragraph 22(1)(b) of the Broadcasting Act, the Commission will only issue the licence amendment, and the authority granted herein may only be implemented, at such time as written notification is received from the Department of Communications that it will issue an amendment to the Technical Construction and Operating Certificate.
The Commission has taken note of the intervention from Radio Drummond (1980) Inc., licensee of CHRD Drummondville, opposing CJTR's power increase. It has also taken into account the licensee's response that the increase should not have any significant impact on the Drummondville market since the signal of CJTR is already receivable in that community.

Secretary General
