REVOCATION OF THE NETWORK LICENCE TO DISTRIBUTE AN ENGLISH-LANGUAGE CANADIAN HEALTH AND LIFESTYLE SPECIALTY PROGRAMMING SERVICE, ISSUED TO THE LIFE CHANNEL INC.
The Life Channel Inc. has requested the revocation of its licence to carry on a national English-language 24-hour-a-day, seven-day-a-week health and lifestyle specialty programming network service distributed via satellite to cable television affiliates, on a discretionary, userpay basis.
Accordingly, in view of the licensee's request and pursuant to paragraphs 16(1)(c) and 24(1)(a) of the Broadcasting Act, the Commission, on the recommendation of the Executive Committee, hereby revokes the network licence issued to the Life Channel Inc.
