Following a Public Hearing in St. John's, Newfoundland beginning on 3 April 1990, the Commission renews the licence for the broadcasting receiving undertaking serving Tatamagouche, held by North Nova Cable Limited, from 1 January 1991 to 31 August 1995. The operation of this undertaking is regulated pursuant to Parts I and III of the Cable Television Regulations, 1986 (the regulations) and the licence will be subject to the conditions specified in this decision and in the licence to be issued.
In addition to the services required or authorized to be distributed pursuant to the applicable sections of the regulations, the licensee is authorized, by condition of licence, to continue to distribute the Atlantic Satellite Network, received via satellite, provided that it is distributed on an unimpaired channel of the basic service.
Consistent with Decision CRTC 90-1136 dated 19 December 1990, the licensee is relieved from the requirement of paragraph 22(1)(b) of the regulations that it distribute regional service CJCB-TV-2 Antigonish, in view of the poor reception quality of this signal.
