Pursuant to Public Notice CRTC 1992-23 dated 19 March 1992, the Commission approves the applications by Northern Native Broadcasting, Yukon (NNBY) to amend the broadcasting licence for the programming undertaking CHON-FM Whitehorse (the originating station), by authorizing the licensee to add transmitters at Burwash Landing, Old Crow and Teslin. Each transmitter will operate on the frequency of 90.5 MHz, with an effective radiated power of 7.5 watts.
Burwash Landing Broadcasting Society, The Old Crow Broadcasting Society and Teslin Community Club have requested the revocation of their respective licences for the distribution undertakings serving Burwash Landing, Old Crow and Teslin, respectively. As approved herein, NNBY will now provide an FM radio service to these communities through its transmitters which will rebroadcast the programs of CHON-FM.
In view of the licensees' requests and pursuant to paragraph 9(1)(e) and subsection 24(1) of the Broadcasting Act, the Commission hereby revokes the licences issued for the undertakings noted above.
