Decision

Ottawa, 8 November 1993
Decision CRTC 93-671
Corporation Municipale du Village de Parent
Parent, Quebec - 930949300
Addition of programming services
Pursuant to Public Notice CRTC 1993-133 dated 17 September 1993, the Commission approves the application to amend the licence for the radiocommunication distribution undertaking serving Parent, by authorizing the licensee to establish two transmitters for the distribution, in non-encrypted mode, of CFJP-TV Montréal, on channel 15 with a transmitter power of 2 watts, and of CITE-FM Montréal, on the frequency 92.1 MHz (channel 221) with an effective radiated power of 3 watts.
The Department of Communications (DOC) has advised the Commission that concerning the radio transmitter, the application is conditionally technically acceptable, and that a Broadcasting Certificate will only be issued once it has been determined that the proposed technical parameters will not create any unacceptable interference with aeronautical NAV/COM services.
In accordance with subsection 22(1) of the Broadcasting Act, the Commission will only issue the licence amendment, and the authority granted herein may only be implemented, at such time as written notification is received from the DOC that its technical requirements have been met, and that Broadcasting Certificates will be issued.
Allan J. Darling
Secretary General
