Licence renewal for CKQN-FM
1. Following Public Notice CRTC 1997-65 dated 26 May 1997 and Decision CRTC 97-485 dated 22 August 1997, the Commission renews the broadcasting licence for the radio programming undertaking CKQN-FM Baker Lake, from 1 January 1998 to 31 August 2004, subject to the conditions in effect under the current licence, as well as to those conditions specified in this decision and in the licence to be issued.
2. The Commission notes that this station is a Type A FM native radio station in accordance with Public Notice CRTC 1990-89 dated 20 September 1990 entitled Native Broadcasting Policy.
3. The Commission acknowledges the intervention received in support of the renewal of this licence, and has noted the comments included therein.
This decision is to be appended to the licence.
