Administrative renewals

1. For administrative reasons, the Commission renews the broadcasting licences for CBFT Montréal and its transmitters, as well as CFTM-TV Montréal and the TVA television network, from 1 September 1998 to 31 August 1999, subject to the terms and conditions in effect under the current licences.

2. These administrative renewals are granted solely because the Commission wishes to consider the renewal of these licences at the same time as that of the CBC French-language television network.

3. The Commission wishes to emphasize that these administrative renewals do not in any manner dispose of any matters which may have arisen during the current term of licence. Any such matters may be subject to comment by interveners and will be available for consideration by the Commission at the time it considers the licence renewal applications.

This decision is to be appended to each licence.
