Dear Dr. Godfrey:

RE: Request for Carrier Status of Entirety Communications Ltd.

This is in response to your letter dated 19 March 2001.

Entirety Communications Ltd. ("Entirety") expressed its intent to become a carrier for the un-serviced local region of Meziadan Junction in Northwest British Columbia. In order to become a registered carrier, Entirety is requested to provide information regarding how it has or intends to satisfy the requirements set out in Telecom Decision CRTC 97-8, Local Competition, 1 May 1997 (Decision 97-8).

Entirety is recognized as having met the requirements at this time sufficient to make the further arrangements necessary to allow it to provide local switched services. However, Entirety is reminded that it may not offer services to the public until all the conditions of Decision 97-8 have been satisfied.

You will find attached for your convenience or reference a table prepared by Commission staff summarizing the obligations defined in Decision 97-8. This table is an unofficial document which is intended as a convenience only, not to be relied upon as an official version of Decision 97-8.

Entirety may be subject to further obligations that the Commission may impose from time to time.

Yours sincerely,

Brenda Jolicoeur
