Order CRTC 2001-488

Ottawa, 21 June 2001

TELUS Communications Inc.
Tariff Notice 7

Call management services

The Commission approves TCI's request to introduce the Talking Call Waiting feature in Alberta and British Columbia, which will offer residential customers the option of hearing the announcement of the name of the incoming call waiting callers, as opposed to seeing the display of the name of the caller. Customers must also subscribe to call waiting.

TCI filed the application on 4 May 2001 to revise Items 300 and 303 of its General Tariff.

The revisions take effect on 1 July 2001.
