Promotion

The Commission approves, on a final basis, Aliant Telecom Inc.'s application, dated 25 June 2001, relating to the introduction of a promotion for residential customers in Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island from 9 July to 30 September 2001.

This promotion provides customers who return to the company from a competitive local exchange carrier with no service connection charges for the installation of local service, and a credit of $50 towards long-distance services provided by the company.

The application was approved on an interim basis in Order CRTC 2001-549, dated 6 July 2001.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.
